Like it or not, the warm days of summer are now in the rear view mirror and autumn is upon us. My shopping basket is already changing so that I can make the most of seasonal vegetables and cook our family favourite soups, braises, stews, roasts and pies . The Pigeon Cottage Kitchen archive is pretty extensive these days so here are a few of my favourites that might give you a few ideas. Close your eyes, dream of piles of fluffy mash and sumptuous gravy!

You’re welcome. There are so many recipes on the site now I sometimes forget my old favourites. We don’t always have to have something new!

Thank you Dorothy. I do use my own photos 99% of the time but I created this one with AI as it was a compilation post.
