JD’s #tipoftheweek – British flower sprouts

Flower SproutsI can’t say that we buy some new ingredient every week when we go shopping, but, if you haven’t already, you might want to check out these delicious British Flower Sprouts® at Sainsbury’s (£1.50 for 160g).

JS Flower SproutsThese sweet little greens, the latest superfood,  have a lovely mild flavour and look so pretty on the plate. Just rinse them, cook them in a saucepan with enough water (no more than a cm if you cook them all, less if it’s just a few) in the base to steam them, drain well, season with a little sea salt and extra virgin olive oil. You could stir fry them or use them in any number of ways – check out more recipes for Flower Sprouts® here.
