#Welikewine ‘Truly Irresistable’ Broglia Gavi – 2012

Broglia GaviGavi has become a firm favourite with lovers of Italian wines. This Villa Broglia Gavi located in Piemonte, northern Italy, is of exceptionally fine quality. Crafted from hand harvested Cortese grapes, the 2012 is said to be the smallest and highest quality vintage ever recorded. It’s certainly deserves its place in the Co-op’s excellent ‘Truly Irresistible’ range of wines.

If you normally enjoy the gooseberry tartness of a chilled Sauvignon for sunny afternoon drinks, you’ll find the Gavi a rather more subtle experience. This wine is crisp and refreshing but it has a silky texture, with warm flavour notes of peaches, almonds and honey. It’s a perfect ‘summer’s day sipper’ on its own, or with antipasti, fish and white meat dishes.
